Persons with significant control
How to identify and record persons with significant control in an academy trust.
Academy trusts are charitable companies limited by guarantee. This means they are required to keep a register of individuals that have control of them – known as persons with significant control (PSCs) – and disclose certain information to Companies House.Â
Carrying out these actions is the responsibility of the trust’s company secretary (often the lead governance professional).  provides detailed advice and additional resources to support the process.
